2020 Montgomery County National Day of Prayer

For those who were able, thank you for participating in the 2020 Montgomery County National Day of Prayer! Although our world is going through a very difficult time, it is our mutual hope in Christ that provides us with the stregnth to persevere as the Lord’s ambassadors where he has placed us (2 Cor. 5:20). Stay tuned for news of future commnity prayer & outreach events. If you were unable to participate or would like to review the event, please see below a link to the video from the Zoom call.

Unfortunately, the prayers for our community were inadvertently not recorded.  We are very sorry not to be able to share them – they were powerful and moving. Many thanks to the following community leaders for participating:

  • Antonio Cyrus, Lead Pastor, Interdenominational Church of God, representing United in Action.
  • Nicole Hayes, D.C.Area Director, Christian Medical & Dental Associations
  • Meredith McNerney, Principal, Gaithersburg Elementary School
  • Officer Jeremy Wojdan, Montgomery County Police Department
  • Clark Kendall, Kendall Capital, representing the Christian Business Men’s Connection
  • Patrick Young, Physician & Navy Veteran at Walter Reed Hospital

Below is a link to a follow-up a prayer and reflection exercise, provided by our keynote speaker, Rick Barry, from the Center for Christian Civics.  This is a helpful way to turn our own hearts towards God and transform any frustration, blame or resentment into constructive, Kingdom-centered action when the time of quarantine is over.
